The next UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP30) will be held in Belém, in the state of Pará in Brazil's Amazon region, from 10 to 21 November 2025. UKCEH will be represented at COP30 in person and online.

- Douglas Kelley and Maria Lucia Barbosa will lead a side event on Wildfires: Science, Stories, and Strategies for Resilience in Amazonia (14:15-15:45).
18 November
- Angus Garbutt will be represented by Blue Marine at the Saltmarsh Breakthrough event (14:00-15:30).

Pre-COP30 Dialogue, São Paulo
Organised by the British Consulate-General São Paulo and Universidade de São Paulo (USP), UKCEH scientists Laurence Jones, Samuel Robinson and Jenna Lawson spoke at this 2-day event at USP on 22-23 October. The meeting brought together researchers, policymakers, business leaders and civil society representatives to discuss how science can guide ambitious, fair, equitable and effective climate action.

Countdown to COP30
9 October, Natural History Museum (NHM)
UKCEH had a stand at the NHM's Countdown to COP30 event, attended by His Majesty The King and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, as well as government ministers, business leaders and climate ambassadors. Jenna Lawson showcased the AMI system for pollinator monitoring, Maria Lucia Barbosa showcased the state of wildfires work and its impact in the Amazon, and María Jarquín shared with The Prince of Wales about the mission of UKCEH and the key research findings and impact stories we will be share at COP30.
