The UK is facing severe financial pressures because of COVID-19 and its impact on the economy. As a result, the UK government has decided to reduce the funds available for Official Development Assistance (ODA), which includes research projects funded via UKRI from the ODA budget.
Whilst we have been informed by UKRI of these cuts in the correspondence linked below, we will not know the likely project-level impact on UKCEH-led research until UKRI has sent out notices. We understand these notices will be served by the end of April.
Our objective is to manage this situation as best we can together with our partners, to maintain our relationships and safeguard research excellence and impact.
