Professional summary

Research Interests

  • Development and application of low-cost air sampling approaches for monitoring NH3, reactive gases (NO2, SO2, HNO3, HCl) and aerosols, and innovative air measurement methods.
    • UKCEH Passive ALPHA samplers for monitoring NH3.
    • UKCEH DELTA system for monitoring reactive gases and aerosols.
    • Innovation project on developing an ambient NH3 gas sensor.
  • Development of air monitoring strategies and implementation, from local- (e.g. environmental impact assessments, model validation studies) to national- (e.g. UK NAMN and AGANet) and continent-scale assessments (e.g. NitroEurope DELTA network, GCRF South Asian Nitrogen Hub).
  • Linking air quality impacts and ecosystem effects assessment.
  • Air quality policies.
