Professional summary

Yuanlin Wang obtained a B.Sc. in Atmospheric Science from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in 2013. Subsequently, she pursued an MSc in Environmental Engineering at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, completing her studies in 2016. During this period, her focus was on atmospheric modeling and source apportionment.

Continuing her academic journey, Yuanlin embarked on doctoral studies in Atmospheric Sciences, initially at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics and later at Lancaster University, United Kingdom. Her research focused on evaluating the impacts of ambient PM2.5 on human health and crop yields in China, utilizing a high-resolution air quality model. In recognition of her work, she successfully earned her PhD in 2020.

In December 2020, Yuanlin joined the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH) as an air quality modeler. She actively contributes to the South Asia Nitrogen Hub (SANH), focusing on simulating air pollution in South Asia. Her responsibilities include analyzing variations in particulate matter concerning meteorology and emissions, as well as evaluating the impacts between particulate matter and human health.
