Professional summary

Stella is a research associate within the Plant-Soil Interactions group. Her work uses a mix of field and lab-based approaches to study patterns of greenhouse gas emissions from soils and the role that soils play in greenhouse gas removal. Her particular focus lies on nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and methane emissions.

She is involved in the following projects: DIVINE - Diurnal variation in soil nitrous oxide emissions: drivers and mechanisms; ERWGGR - Enhanced Rock Weathering Greenhouse Gas Removal; and, ReTroForGe - Refining estimates of tropical forest greenhouse gas exchange using plant traits

She is also a PhD student with UKCEH (lead) and Lancaster University exploring soil improvement strategies as enhancers of greenhouse gas removal potential in soil.
