Simeon currently works on a Defra funded project relating to information on invasive non-native species for Great Britain Information Portal » NNSS 

In addition Simeon's PhD research investigates the impacts of invasive non-native insect species on wild pollinating insect species in Great Britain. He focuses on Vespa veluntina — also known as the Yellow-Legged Hornet — and its potential impact on pollinator-plant networks in Great Britain as well as Harmonia axyridis — also known as the Harlequin Ladybird — and its impacts on the occupancy trends of hoverfly and ladybird species in Great Britain. Simeon's modelling approaches incorporate citizen science data to inform on the risk of invasive non-native insect species.
