Simeon Wilton

Simeon's current research investigates the impacts of invasive non-native insect species on wild pollinating insect species in the UK. He focuses on Vespa veluntina (also known as the Asian Hornet) and its potential impact on UK pollinator-plant networks as well as Harmonia axyridis (also known as the Harlequin Ladybird) and its population impacts on UK hoverfly species. His modelling approaches incorporates citizen science data to inform on the risk of invasive non-native insect species.
