  • Creating UK inventories of ammonia emissions from non-agricultural sources as per the Greenhouse Gas Inventory.
  • Landscape and national scale spatially distributed modelling of pollutants (non-agricultural sources of, e.g. ammonia, nitrous oxide, sulphur dioxide), spatial distribution of effects of nitrogen accumulation in sensitive habitats and scenario modelling.

Brief CV

2013 - Present: Spatial Data Analyst, CEH Edinburgh

I joined CEH in September 2013 as a Research Associate and have since progressed to a permanent position as a Spatial Data Analyst. My work is predominantly in providing GIS solutions for diffuse pollution, emissions and deposition of Nitrogen in the UK and also in land use change. My other interests include data visualisation, open and linked open data technologies, GIS analysis and working with big data.

I am an experienced user of a wide range of tools for spatial data analysis, including R, Python, ArcGIS, FME, Oracle and PostGIS/PostgreSQL
