Professional summary

Peter's work focusses on greenhouse gas fluxes from ecosystems, anthropogenic emissions, and the effects of land use change. His experience is in plant physiology, micrometeorology, and modelling, and he is interested in developing the measurement methodologies, and data analysis methods, and upscaling techniques.

Peter has recently been applying Bayesian methods to these problems, and has developed software tools for applying these methods. These are publicly-available as R packages which can be installed from github.

RCflux is an R package for calculating gas fluxes from data collected using closed chambers, with appropriate confidence intervals.
KMfootprint is an R package for applying the Kormann & Meixner model of the flux footprint of eddy covariance measurements.
ukghg is an R package which provides spatial and temporal down-scaling of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions from the UK.
