Professional summary

Nick joined in 1992 to work on a hillslope agroforestry project in Kenya. After that he worked on a number of ecohydrological projects around the world before he took up the role of Science Coordinator in 2005, and has been Science Area Manager and Science Area Coordinator for Biodiversity & Land Use since 2025.

He works closely with the Associate Science Director managing science outputs.  In doing so Nick works with scientists in BLU and across the organisation.

As a scientist, his interests cover soil science, hydrology, plant physiology, agroforestry, forestry, water use, and decision-support systems
