Professional summary
Katie is a quantitative ecologist with broad interests in insect declines, biodiversity modelling, ecosystem functioning and resilience, and functional ecology including developing trait-based biodiversity models. She currently works on the Biodiversity Pathways project at UKCEH to understand the complexity of drivers and levers that impact biodiversity, to help develop forecasts for biodiversity responses under different environmental and socio-economic scenarios in the UK. Katie also has a passion for science policy, working on the British Ecological Society's Policy Committee and English Policy Group. She completed a POST fellowship with UK parliament in 2021, where she researched and produced a POSTnote on Local Nature Recovery Strategies.
