Key capabilities

Our research for predicting, preventing and managing droughts covers the following capabilities: monitoring droughts and drought impacts; building resilience to future droughts and water scarcity; predicting the hydro-chemical and ecological consequences of drought.

Droughts can be disruptive and dangerous for agriculture, water supplies, natural ecosystems, infrastructure, and public health.

Our scientists address many of the multifaceted aspects of drought and embrace complexities in their monitoring and modelling, while making data and information easily accessible to the water industry and other audiences.
