Professional summary
Kate is a Data Steward based in the Digital Research Group at UKCEH Lancaster. She provides data management support to UKCEH colleagues and NERC grant holders, and supports ingestion of environmental data into the Environmental Information Data Centre (EIDC).
Kate recently earned her PhD in Computer Science from Lancaster University, using qualitative research techniques to understand how the different stakeholders within environmental data science navigate uncertainty.
Kate was previously employed by CEH in 2001 when she was involved with fieldwork for the Farm-Scale Evaluation of GM crops project.
