Professional summary

Claudia is a Data Scientist with UKCEH's Atmospheric Chemistry and Effects (ACE) area with interests including climate change and atmospheric pollution and their impacts on human health and ecosystems.

As part of her role, Claudia is responsible for the collation and management of environmental datasets for the International Nitrogen Management System (INMS) and South-Asian Nitrogen Hub (SANH), while also working on a range of visualisation solutions to circulate the outputs, including interactive RShiny tools and ArcGIS Online dashboards.

Additionally, she is currently working on the upgrade and optimisation of websites within the ACE area.

Between 2019-2023, she was the GIS and Data Officer for The Wildlife Information Centre (TWIC), where she managed the largest biological recording database in Scotland, providing GIS solutions to map and analyse wildlife records for the benefit of a wide range of clients including environmental consultancies, local authorities and NatureScot.

Claudia also has experience in Bird Monitoring as a BTO ringer trainee with the local ringing group (Lothian Ringing Group), with a focus on mist-netting passerines and pullus-ringing from ground nests.
