Dr. Thomas O. Mondain-Monval

Thomas Mondain Monval (He/Him) is an environmental data scientist with a background in ecology and fieldwork in animal behaviour. His research interests include using citizen science and tracking data to understand patterns in animal behaviour and biodiversity across spatial scales. He also has a keen interest in modelling species trends and distributions in response to climate change. More recently, his work has focused on the use of adaptive sampling for improving species distribution models, specifically to address biases present in citizen science datasets, and assessing survey designs using power analyses.
