Working for CEH

CEH is the UK’s Centre of Excellence for the integrated research in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems and their interaction with the atmosphere. As part of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), we provide National Capability based on innovative, independent and interdisciplinary science and long-term environmental monitoring. Working in partnership with the research community, policy-makers, environmental practitioners, industry and society, we deliver world-class solutions to the most complex environmental challenges facing humankind.

We have more than 600 permanent staff and students based at four sites across the UK. Our work is funded by NERC and a wide range of other UK and European stakeholders.

Equal opportunities statement

NERC operates an equal opportunities policy and applications from all sectors of the community are therefore welcome. We operate a Guaranteed Interview Scheme for candidates with disabilities who meet the essential criteria for the post.
