Dr David CameronEarth System Modeller
Research interestsI joined CEH in early 2004 after being part of the Numerical Weather Prediction section at the Met Office for six years. At the Met Office I was looking mainly at systematic model errors in their global forecast model. Before that I studied for my PhD at Reading University which looked at understanding the Rossby Wave (atmospheric) response to the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau. Since joining CEH I have been part of a NERC e-science project called GENIE which is tasked with developing a Grid-based computing framework for looking at Earth System scientific questions. The model components are designed to be efficient so that longer term (eg paleo) climate change can be modelled. PublicationsPlease see the NERC Open Research Archive.
