This week during London Climate Action Week we were delighted to meet Minister for Climate, Kerry McCarthy MP at the flagship sustainability event, Reset Connect.

UKCEH Associate Science Director Glenn Watts, said: "This was a great opportunity to share with the Minister and many visitors to our To Net Zero and Beyond stand, how UKCEH's world-leading science provides the joined-up environmental evidence the UK needs to respond to climate change, restore nature and strengthen resilience."

Day two of the event saw our Director of Science, Dr Doug Wilson, moderate a panel focused on strategies for protecting biodiversity and supporting ecosystem regeneration. Thanks to Gareth Thomas (Natural History Museum), Nicola Hutchinson (Plantlife), Kathryn Brown (The Wildlife Trusts), and Cleo Cunningham (BirdLife International) for such an insightful discussion. A range of topics were covered, including innovative conservation techniques, international policy, finance and the role of communities in driving change.

The UKCEH booth, featuring our To Net Zero and Beyond initiative and led by the Business and Partnership Development team, was the venue for many engaging conversations with members of key sectors including energy, water, road and rail, and land management, all passionate about delivering environmental solutions or creating a nature-positive future.

We look forward to building on many of the connections made and continuing the conversations and opening doors to collaborative opportunities that lead to real-world impact.
