NC-UK 2026 Internships
Four NC-UK summer internship projects began in June 2026 for a six-week period. The internships will support priority areas of work across the NC-UK programme, while also providing valuable development opportunities for the interns and helping to strengthen links across partner organisations.
The four projects are shown below:
Project 1 - Uncovering and minimising barriers to digital research infrastructure in environmental science (Lancaster)

Project 3 - Hydrogeochemical Sampling and Data Investigation at UKCEH’s Plynlimon Research Catchments (Bangor)

Project 4 - Fine-tuning a state-of-the-art geospatial foundation model for UK land cover classification (Lancaster)
