Current work

My work focuses on the integrated modelling and assessment of impacts of air pollution and climate change on human health and ecosystems. This involves collaboration with colleagues developing and applying the UK Integrated Assessment Model (UKIAM, Imperial College) and research underpinning the Scottish Government strategy Good Places, Better Health (GPBH) with the EDPHiS project.

On the European scale, I contribute to the FP7 Network of Excellence LIAISE, which aims at improving the linkage between practitioners and scientists developing tools and models for impact assessment.

I am a member of the UNECE Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling (TFIAM) and have been organising special sessions on integrated modelling topics at the bi-annual conferences of the Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (MSSANZ) and the International Environmental Modelling & Software Society (iEMSs).
