Professional summary

Dr Maria Bogdanova is an animal ecologist interested in in the interacting effects of environmental and intrinsic drivers of individual behaviour and fitness, and their consequences for population dynamics. She also has strong interest in the application of behavioural and population ecology in conservation and policy work. Her current research focuses on the effects of environmental variation and direct human activities on the foraging ecology, movements and spatial distributions of seabirds throughout their annual cycle.

This work involves the use of diverse bio-logging methods and advanced statistical modelling, and provides evidence underpinning marine spatial planning and the sustainable use of coastal waters.
