The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) is hosting the 5th iLEAPS science conference at the Said Business School in Oxford – bringing together the world’s leading experts on ecosystem-atmosphere exchanges and their impacts on public health, biodiversity, climate, food and fuel security.
The conference, which takes place from 11 to 14 September 2017, this year focuses on the theme of ‘understanding the impact of land-atmosphere exchanges. It includes world experts in the field including CEH Fellow Professor David Fowler who is a global authority on acid rain, ground level ozone and greenhouse gases.
Other speakers at the Integrated Land Ecosystems-Atmosphere Processes Study (iLEAPS) event include Dr Akhilesh Gupta, who is currently coordinating two National Missions on Climate Change of the Government of India, and Professor Sonia Seneviratne – lead scientist of the land-climate dynamics group at the Institute of Atmospheric and Climate Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.

iLEAPS is a Global Research Project of Future Earth providing understanding of how interacting physical, chemical, and biological processes transport and transform energy and matter through the land-atmosphere interface. Visit the iLEAPS website for more information.
