CEH hosted the 3rd annual summit meeting with Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC) and the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) on the topics of soil and water restoration: monitoring technologies and techniques, data analysis and tools.
The organisations have a trilateral MoU and are partners in The Joint Research Centre for Environmental Sciences and Policy which enable scientists from each institution to share knowledge and experience and carry out joint research projects of global environmental significance. Projects that have been recently completed include the EU-Aid project, SUSTAIN H20, which investigated pollution discharge management for water quality improvement in the Sonhuajiang-Liaohe river basin.
The third annual summit meeting reaffirmed the strong relationship between the research organisations. The annual summit showcase the breadth of research and institutes expertise as a springboard for future collaboration opportunities.
CEH also welcomed the attendance of Dr Ge Tan from the Chinese Embassy.
