The 100th Scottish Freshwater Group meeting will comprise a special two-day event on 19th and 20th April 2018 to celebrate its 50th year – we are currently seeking offers of both talks and posters to further develop the programme, with proceedings to be published in the journal Aquatic Conservation. Submit abstracts by 7th December!
We would like to encourage presentations that might reflect on the period over which the SFG has been in existence (e.g. long-time series data, reviews of a particular topic and/or a look forward to the horizon) to help tell a story of past, present and future for freshwater science, policy and practice, drawing on four key themes (each with a designated lead):
- Defining, classifying & assessing freshwaters – Laurence Carvalho
- Pressures on the freshwater resource – Nigel Willby
- The use & value of freshwaters – Chris Spray
- Freshwater conservation & management – Colin Bean
We also welcome other suggestions that do not quite fit into the above categories.
Submit your idea via SFG 100th Mtg. Abstract Form and Guideline.doc to Prof Colin Adams at firstname.lastname@example.org
The deadline for abstracts is 7th Dec 2017 and we very much look forward to receiving your contributions.
