Professional summary

Anthea joined UKCEH as Head of Communications and Engagement in 2018.

Previously, she worked as Head of Marketing and Communications for WRAP, where she was responsible for repositioning WRAP’s brand following its transition from government delivery body to not-for-profit organisation, and for launching The UK Plastics Pact. 

Prior to that, she held senior marketing and communications roles across the public, private and non-profit sectors, including for Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, Cranfield University and Blackwell Publishing.

Anthea also worked as a freelance journalist, writing regularly for the Independent, and is the co-author with the late Sir Douglas Hague of a book on Oxford University science spin-out companies entitled ‘From Bright Sparks to Brilliant Businesses’ (Bloomsbury, 2010). The book introduces a range of disruptive technologies to lay readers and describes their commercialisation.
