Energy and the Environment
An expanding and increasingly affluent global population is intensifying pressure on finite, climate-changing fossil fuels. Our challenge is to help identify how the environment can continue to provide us with energy as well as essential ecosystem services such as food, clean water and a healthy environment. CEH is at the forefront of assessing whole energy systems within the global environment, including sustainable energy generation, delivery and usage.
CEH's Energy-Related Research
Our long-standing and wide-ranging experience of research into energy-related environmental science includes areas such as transport, life cycle assessment, energyscapes and ecosystem services.
