EDCAT 1: Programme Co-ordination
The purpose of the EDCAT-1 project is to:
- provide overall scientific and financial coordination for the
whole Phase 1 EDCAT programme
- ensure that the results of the programme are effectively reported to the various stakeholders, including the Steering Group which will be composed of a representative of each funding agency and each participating institute.
Objectives
- To coordinate the various EDCAT projects in order to ensure that they adhere as far as possible to their objectives, and to facilitate the transfer of essential information between them.
- To track expenditure of all EDCAT projects and report financial outturns to the funding agencies at whatever frequency they require.
- To attend meetings of the programme steering group.
To compile an annual report to the funding agencies, and a final report at the end of Phase 1 in 2008.
- To prepare a published final report in non-technical language of the programme’s key results.
- To coordinate contacts between the programme and the media, and disseminate programme information via the internet.
- To coordinate the production of papers for publication in the scientific literature and for presentation at scientific meetings.
