This sample covers an area of approximately 65 sq km and contains a wide range of covertypes from LCM2000. The data you receive will be an ArcView "shapefile". This is directly available to ArcView users. The data includes the full list of level 3 attributes for over 1,500 parcels. See the LCM product description pages for details of classification system etc.

The download data also includes a legend file (.avl) for displaying of data at the habitat level.
