Statistical Checklists

A series of statistical checklists are available from CEH direct from the author, Professor J.N.R. Jeffers. The aim is to highlight some of the more significant questions to be taken into account in the application of statistical methods to practical research and management. Please refer to Professor Jeffers' website for further details.

Minitab Macros for resampling

We have created a set of downloadable macros which perform computationally-intensive inference in Minitab for a range of widely used statistical techniques, as well as some more specialist techniques in spatial statistics. (Note: the macros were created for Minitab v.13, and have not yet been tested for compatability with later versions.)

Mixture Toxicity

The pages linked to below describe CEH research into the effects of toxic chemical mixtures and include downloadable files which provide a practical guide and manual for the statistical analysis of those effects. We have also included a link to related work being undertaken as part of the EU project NoMiracle, which addresses how non-chemical stressors like climate or acidification might interact with the effects of chemicals.
