Flood estimation for small catchments - IH Report 124

D C W Marshall & A C Bayliss
ISBN: 0948540621, 1994, £0.00

Flood estimation is inherently more difficult on smaller catchments than larger ones. This report, from 1994, describes strategic research into flood estimate catchments (smaller than 25km²) with a particular emphasis on flood response times.

A major component of the project was the instrumentation of 15 small catchments in central southern England, chosen so that they possessed particular combinations of catchment characteristics which compensated for deficiencies in the existing catchment set.
