Two Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) Scientists appeared in this month's Queen's Birthday Honours list.
Professor David Fowler, CEH Biogeochemistry Science Director, was awarded a CBE in recognition of his services to research into atmospheric pollution. David is also a Fellow of the Royal Society and his research has advanced understanding of the global biogeochemical cycles for Nitrogen, Carbon and Sulphur.
Professor Mike Hornung was awarded an OBE. Mike has recently retired as the site director at the former CEH research site at Merlewood, Cumbria. He is now a CEH fellow at our new research site in Lancaster. Mike was rewarded for his services to research into soil chemistry.
