National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) 2012Science Have-a-Go days at Penicuik Town Hall
Sat March 10th and Sat March 17th 10:00 – 14:00 How does pollution affect us and the environment? How can we see the effects? Why should we care and what can we do? You can find out by playing games, doing some simple experiments, and having a go at some craft and story activities at Penicuik Town Hall (Cowan Hall), over two Saturdays (10th and 17th March 2012, 10 am – 2 pm). There will be contributions from scientists at CEH, Moray House of Education (Edinburgh University), as well as cool science creativity from Penicuik’s own “Making Space” from the Penicuik Arts Association. Refreshment will be available at the regular coffee morning in the same hall, run every week by the Penicuik Community Development Trust. Come along for an all-age feast of information and fun in science and art in Penicuik Town Hall! These have-a-go days are organised by the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH), based at the Bush Estate near Penicuik, for the National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) 2012. Science talks at West Street Art Centre, PenicuikSat March 10th and Sat March 17th 19:30-21:00 Two free (but ticketed) science talks for the National Science and Engineering Week will be presented at the West Street Art Centre, Penicuik, on the evenings of Saturday March 10th and Saturday March 17th 19:30 – 21:00.
