Research interests

My work involves:

  • measuring fluxes of carbon and water at leaf and ecosystem scales, using physiological and micrometeorological techniques.
  • modelling global-scale vegetation and the impacts of climate change, land use change and nitrogen deposition.
  • integrating remote sensing and surface flux measurements into ecosystem models.
  • I have previously worked at the University of Edinburgh and Forest Research, and have experience of both field measurement and modelling in boreal, temperate and tropical ecosystems.
